THOMAS E. SCHIFF, GENERAL COUNSEL

Thomas E. Schiff is Outside General Counsel at Decron Properties Corp.

Tom has enjoyed a distinguished career as both a real estate developer and a real estate lawyer. As a managing developer, he oversaw the entitlement, design, and construction of complex owner-user projects, including buildings designed by I. M. Pei, Charles Gwathmey and other renowned architects. Complimentary with his development experience, Tom’s law practice has encompassed all aspects of real estate, including land use, construction, finance, partnership matters, acquisitions and dispositions, and leasing. He served as a Los Angeles City Planning Commissioner from 2002 to 2005, and previously served as the legal commentator for several NPR radio stations.

Tom earned his J.D from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. He, his wife and their four children divide their time between Los Angeles and Walnut Creek.

Tom provides General Counsel services to Decron through the Ring Hunter Holland & Schenone, LLP law firm, in which he is a partner.
