These Maintenance Technician jobs cover a variety of duties, with the primary roles involving maintenance and service, as well as prepping make-readies (vacant apartments in need of service before their new occupants arrive). Maintenance and service duties will involve the repair and replacement of various common apartment fixtures, including electrical, heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems, appliances, and other residential elements as requested by the residents or renovations team leader.
Make-ready duties primarily involve preparing vacant apartments for move-in. These duties will be dictated by the Maintenance Supervisor, or listed on the local make-ready board, and generally involve common renovation services, such as paint touch-ups, trash removal, and fixture repairs or replacements. Those applying for Decron’s Maintenance Technician jobs should be well versed in a variety of renovation skills, including: painting, cabinet installation and re-facing, drywall texturing and repair, Crown molding carpentry installation, installation of electrical fixtures such as ceiling fans, assorted outlets, and light switches, plumbing installation of disposals, faucets, sinks, water supply lines, and toilets, and other basic related skills. This position may also include other miscellaneous tasks, as directed by the Community Manger or Maintenance Supervisor.
