At the heart of each of the values that make us oneDECRON there is a unifying factor: community. Since the company’s inception, Decron has always made a point of finding ways to benefit the community – and that’s never been more important than in 2020.
One of the ways Decron gives back is through the annual golf tournament benefitting the Yeshiva University High School of Los Angeles (YULA). Each year for the past decade, sponsors have gathered on the greens in the spirit of camaraderie and community, playing golf and raising money for scholarships to the school, which more than 60% of the enrolled students rely upon.
It’s no secret that it’s been a difficult year for everyone in the wake of COVID-19, and with the necessity of school closures, educators have been hit particularly hard. That’s why it was important to find a safe, socially distanced way to host the 11th annual tournament – and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success.
This year, following a carefully observed set of health and safety protocols, sponsors gathered at the Moorpark Country Club on Wednesday, November 18th to observe the 11th Annual Decron Golf Tournament Benefitting YULA. While some of the usual festivities were modified in light of COVID-19 guidelines, attendees still enjoyed a rousing day of friendly competition, complete with light refreshments.
We would like to thank the generosity of the event’s many sponsors for making this year a rousing success yet again, despite the challenges of COVID-19. Together, the sponsors raised an incredible amount of over $650,000 for YULA’s continuing mission of education excellence. The community’s support for education, especially in these difficult times, proves why, together, we stand strong as oneDECRON.
Once again we would like to offer our deepest gratitude to those involved and look forward to seeing everyone next year at the 12th annual event!
